Meerkat Manor story season 3

                        Ruler from the Dark Side

Let's go back in time to the night when the Whiskers were reunited after the pups, and Sophie almost died from the Zappa attack. But if you go to the Starsky group you'll see a meerkat pacing outside the main burrow thinking very hard. It's Kinkajou. She was thinking of a way to become dominant female of the Starskys. Then at last she got a idea. When morning came, and the rest of the Zappa woke up. Then..........

"Hey everyone I found a tree with lot's of tasty caterpillars!"Yelled Kinkajou." Wow," said a meerkat."Cool," said another."Let's go there," said another. So they all followed Kinkajou. They didn't even do their morning duties. All went except Mozart. Instead she stayed behind, and did all the morning duties. Little did the rest of the group know that Kinkajou was playing a trick on them. When Mozart was done the duties she went to see what the rest of the group was doing. When she found them Kinkajou was taking them in a far away direction. Mozart didn't know that Kinkajou told the group that she knew where a very fancy burrow was that they could spend the night in. The group was so full with caterpillars that they forgot to get Mozart, so they just followed Kinkajou. Mozart was surprised. She was due to give birth that night, and her group hadn't even helped her get to where Kinkajou was taking them. So she decided to just follow them.

At last she caught up with them. The group apologized greatly. All except Kinkajou. She had expected to loose Mozart. But she had another idea of how to become dominant female.

When the group finally reached the burrow they found out that Kinkajou had tricked them. They arrived at a burrow alright, but it was a old abandoned burrow that hadn't been used in a hundred years.

"Wait a go Stinkapou," said the group to Kinkajou. None of them wanted to, but they had no choice, but to spend the night in that burrow.

The next day Kinkajou ordered the meerkats to get to work."How could we have been so foolish," cried the meerkats. If you hadn't known meerkats lived in groups you would've thought that Kinkajou had made slaves out of them. Finally Mozart emerged from the burrow. She had a flat stomach. It was clear that she had given birth. But she had no milk to feed her pups. It was risky leaving the burrow, but she had to get milk for her pups. Everyone (except Kinkajou) gave Mozart as much food as possible.

When Mozart arrived back at the burrow she went underground to nurse her pups. But she couldn't find them. When she went above ground at last she saw a little paw of a meerkat. It was clear that Kinkajou had eaten her pups. All of the group (except Kinkajou of course) spent three days mourning for the poor little things.

So Kinkajou got her wish as dominant female. To herself she was the greatest ruler ever, but to everyone else she was nothing but a friendless tyrant.

But would Mozart just give up. Nope! Not a option. Sometimes the biggest falls, can one day turn into one of the biggest victories.

Chapter VII

                           A new Casanova

The Starsky were doing bad. Mozart had lost her place  as dominant female and she still felt sorry for her pups, Kinkajou was afraid that one day the group might try to kill her in revenge of killing Mozart's pups, and Carlos’s wound from Hannibal had become infected. He wished he had chosen Mozart to be dominant female, but now he was too weak to even forage. He knew his life was nearing a end.

At the Whisker's burrow things were going much better. The seasonal rains had brought some life back to the Kalahari, the Whiskers had gained a lot of territory through fighting Frank Zappa and his 13 meerkat army, and Flower had given birth to two pups. Both were boys. The older one was just like Buster (bratty), and his name was Len. But the younger one was different. He had a deformed leg and had trouble walking, so Einstein suggested Squiggly. Flower suggest the great Squiggle Da Whisker, but soon everyone started forgetting his name so Squiggly it was.

"What are the chances of a meerkat pup having a deformed leg?"Asked Zaphod. "One in 5,"said Flower proudly."Closer to one a million Flower," said Einstein."Whatever," said Flower, "Oh I forgot I've got to go and forage so I can nurse the pups."Don't worry I'll babysit the pups Flower," said Einstein. So Einstein stayed and taught the pups Roman Numerals, Astronomy, and the Laws of Gravity, and Motion while the rest of the group went out foraging. But Zaphod wasn't exactly in the mood for eating. He had his eye on roving male Houdini. He was afraid that Flower might choose him to be dominant male instead of him as he was very charming. And that's exactly what Flower was thinking. Zaphod decided to follow Flower wherever she went and give her extra attention. But taking parts of Flower's food isn't exactly the kind of attention she wanted.

"Stop it Zaphod your being irritating," said a very annoyed Flower."But Flower a but a........What’s the matter ya got ants in pants," said Flower. Zaphod was going to answer but just then............

"A eagle!"Yelled Big Will."More specifically a large bird of prey that feeds upon one foot tall living organisms like us," called out Einstein from the burrow."Oh I'll tell you what it is Mr. Smarty Pants dangerous," said Mitch, "run to the bush."And everyone ran to the bush. But just then Zaphod realized that Flower wasn't with them. He wanted to go look for her, but he couldn't. He waited impatiently for the eagle to leave. He even put a sundial up to time it.

"Come on, come on," said Zaphod impatiently."Be patient Zaphod, "said Big Will. But just then Zaphod saw that the eagle left. He dashed away faster than a lightning bolt trying to strike a falcon. It took a little while for Zaphod to find Flower though. He even searched a few feet outside Kalahari County. When he finally found Flower he didn't like what he saw. Houdini was leaning over Flower. Zaphod knew they were mating. He dashed toward Houdini.

"Get away from my lady!"Yelled Zaphod."Go find your own."Gotta go," said Houdini, and he dashed away. Zaphod chassed him away, but it was too late. Houdini had mated with Flower. He franticly started scent marking Flower. She wasn't exactly happy with that."Grrrrrrrrrrrrr, stop it Zaphod," said a very  angry Flower. So Flower just went back to foraging. But Zaphod just followed her. He didn't want a replay of what just happened.

"Oh Flower where ya goin," sang Zaphod in a of key voice."Grrr stop singing, stop singing," said a very irritated Flower.

    Chapter VIII

                                  Farewell Carlos.

While Flower was trying to nurse her pups Kinkajou had really woken up on the wrong side of the burrow. She made the group go out in search for the perfect burrow for her to give birth in at 6:00in the morning. They didn't even get to forage before they left. They still hadn't found one yet (as Kinkajou was very picky).Just then Mozart found something out of the ordinary.

"Lush feeding grounds!"She yelled. The whole group turned around to see  apiece of ground that was filled with scorpions, geckos, snails, centipedes, millipedes, caterpillars, and everything a meerkat could ever dream of. But just then Kinkajou saw a meerkat who she hoped she'd never see again. It was none other than Mozart's brother Shakespeare. He was the owner of this land and was now called Shady. When he saw Mozart they hugged and kissed each other. They told each other about what they where doing.

"When I heard you were coming this way I decided to welcome let you live here with me," said Shady."Why thank you," said Mozart. Kinkajou said no but soon she was out voted, and the group decided to make this there knew home. After the foraging was done Mozart went to take care of Carlos by grooming him. But a few minutes later......

"A snake!"Yelled Shady the others turned around to see a large Puff Adder in the tall grass. All the meerkats tried to get it away except Carlos, and Kinkajou. Carlos was to weak, and Kinkajou was to scared (she was to proud to admit it though. She just said it was too easy for her).But the meerkats couldn't get it away so they just went back to working. Mozart went back to grooming Carlos. But Kinkajou shoved her aside and bit Carlos on the neck.

"Ouch!"Yelled Carlos. He tried to forage, but he was to weak so he went back to the burrow to enjoy the rest of his life in peace. When the day was over the group went to search for Carlos, but they couldn't find him. The next day they found him dead outside the burrow. They had a funeral for him, buried him in the Meerkat Graveyard. He really was a meerkat to be remembered.

   Chapter IX

                                     Flower's Disappearance.

The death of Carlos struck sadness into the hearts of all the meerkats in Kalahari County. All except Kinkajou. She was happy that she could rule the Starsky the way she wanted to. But thankfully this story isn't about Kinkajou. To tell this story we have to go to Whisker territory three weeks after Carlos’s death. Here you'll see the Whisker's helping Flower's newest litter out of the burrow. Len had no trouble doing it, but Squiggly did. Because he had a deformed leg it was a little hard for him.

"Help, help please!"He cried. His big brother Mitch went to help him. Buster and Sugs (who were now four months old) didn't want to loose their attention to Squiggly. So they started wrestling which just led them falling into a thorn bush. Everyone laughed.

"Buster and Sugs we all expect you to act your own age," said Sophie."If that's even possible, “snickered Jogu.

Soon the group went out to forage leaving Sparkle to babysit the pups.

"Oh I sure hope the Zappa don't come here," she thought.

Soon the Whisker's arrived home with no luck finding food. Their once land of plenty had turned into a arid wasteland. And if that wasn't bad enough something else was going wrong. Flower, Zaphod, and few other Whiskers’ were missing.

"Can you please feed me Daisy I'm hungry,' said Squiggly. Daisy was surprised of how polite this pup asked so she gladly fed him, and his brother Len. Buster tried to get some milk, but Daisy wouldn't let him.

"Didn't Sophie tell you to act your own age ya big baby?"Asked Daisy."Humph, it's not fair why can't I nurse," said Buster. And with that he walked away.

With Flower missing Einstein said the throne should go to Rocket Dog. Rocket Dog said she was to inexperienced to do such a thing, but at last she agreed and became the new ruler. Then Rocket Dog thought of something she never had before.

"Which one of those handsome males should I mate with first," she thought. Her thought was broken by a terrifying roar. She looked up to see a whole pride of lions. She had never seen all of those females, but the big male looked very familiar. It was Mike. Once a lone lion he had now established a pride of lions. And he was here to eat meerkats.

"Now you meerkats will surrender into our paws!"Roared Mike."Not today," said Rocket Dog, and all of the group ran into a bolt hole. Everyone got in. Well everyone except Squiggly. He was being attacked by the Mike's mate Jenina. Just then Quillcaloss Jone's ran in the way of Jenina and shot porcupine quills at her nose. She ran away along with all the other lions. Squiggly was safe. But in order to survive the weather now they needed the rest of their group. But could Mike, and his pride have already killed them.

Chapter X

                            Squiggly the Great.

A week after Flower's disappearance the Whiskers seemed to be doing okay. Because there were less mouths to feed it was easier to find food. Len seemed to get more food than his brother, but Squiggly always seemed to get enough food to keep him healthy. Rocket Dog led the group out foraging, but a little meerkat was having trouble keeping up. It was Squiggly.

"Help, help!"He cried. But his voice was so faint that only Mitch heard it. He ran back to get Squiggly back with the group.

"Thank you so much," said Squiggly who was exhausted after trying so hard to keep up with the group."Your welcome," said Mitch. While they were foraging Rocket Dog spied a handsome male. It was Houdini, and he was using his magic Houdini stare so he might be able to mate with Rocket Dog. In the end it worked.

That night though the group saw Houdini again, and this time he wasn't alone. He brought the Zappa with him. Daisy, and Maybelline ran up to them trying to get the males to mate with them, and they were successful.

The next morning during the foraging party Spud spied a goshawk.

"Run!"He cried. And everyone ran into the burrow. Well everyone except Len, and Squiggly.

"This is all your fault Squiggly," said Len."Why?"Squiggly."Because if you would've been faster we wouldn't be…but just then Len was picked up by the hawk. He tried to catch Squiggly to, but somehow Squiggly escaped. Yes Squiggly was now a great meerkat.

A week had passed since Len had died. Einstein had tried to make a potion to make Squiggle’s arm unreformed, but Buster, and Sugs called him a failure when it didn't work. Then Squiggly told Rocket Dog what had happened. She was so mad at Buster, and Sugs that she made them Omegas in the group (they were very high before). From then on they hated Squiggly.

The next day when Squiggly had returned home after fixing Einstein’s satellite, he heard Buster, and Sugs saying bad things about him.

"Squiggly is such a bug, I wish head be faster," said Buster."I know," said Sugs."Well at least he'll be hung tomorrow," said Buster."Oh thank goodness,' said Sugs.

Squiggly was shocked. Was he really that much trouble. Then he remembered that he had trouble foraging. Because he liked his group so much he didn't want to slow them down so he ran away into the desert. Luckily he stumbled upon the Kalahari County News Station, and Quillcaloss let him live with him, his wife, and his kids. Squiggly was happy.

Of coarse Rocket Dog would never hang Squiggly. It was just something Buster, and Sugs said to get rid of Squiggy. And with there maybe being a boom of half Zappa, half Whisker babies in the group there maybe called the Whappa soon. The next day the group saw something. It was Flower, and the rest of the group.

With two groups, Flower leading one, and Rocket Dog leading the other there's due to be trouble in store.

Chapter XI

                                   Goodbye Old Times

The next day Houdini had finally found the Whiskers.He was overjoyed to see them.But some of the Whisker males wern't happy to see him.Everytime he came to mate with their sisters he would tease them, and allways made the ladies forget their morning duties.And every time he arrived the females made them roll out the red carpet for him.So when he got close enough...........

"Charge!"Yelled Mitch.And the males charged at Houdini at full speed.Houdini was startled, and ran away.But soon he ran out of breath.So he used his magic to transport him to Zappa territory.Because of what just happend he decided to stay with his own group.But he didn't want to be a plain old meerkat though.No he wanted the position of dominant male.

Meanwhile at the Whisker's the males were feeling pleased with themselves.The females were mad at them at first, but then realized that they had been treating the four males who had chased of Houdini (Columbus, Mitch, Jogu, and Einstien) a little strange so everyone appologised, and everyone was forgiven.It was a happy day at the Whisker's.

It was also a happy day for the Zappa.They had helped themselves by feeding off the Whisker's pantry.When they finally arrived home they saw that Houdini had arrived home.The Zappa ran over and started to hug, and kiss him.But all of a sudden......

"Get away!"Yelled a voice.The rest of the Zappa turned around.It was Frank, and he knew exactly what Houdini planned to do.Frank franticly started dancing to show he was boss.But whatever he did Houdini did too except better.

"I win!"Yelled Houdini when the dance off for dominance was over.It was clear Houdini was the winner.He chased Frank off away from the Zappa.

"I'll get you yet Houdini, because I am Frank Zappa!"He yelled as he ran off into the night.

The next morning Lola was alowed back in the group, but her Royal Collar was taken and given to Punk.Again the Zappa helped themselves to the Whisker's food. There are 4 things a female needs to be dominant.Hygene, Poise, etticute, and Anal Marking, and Punk only got the last one right.As we close this chapter it seems like things in the Zappa will never be the same.

Chapter XIII                               

                                     Hanibal Returns.

It had been a month since Flower, and the rest of the Whiskers had disapeared.It was clear Rocket Dog wasn't the best leader, but the other meerkats obeyed her because she was nice to them.All except Maybeline, and Daisy.They were so jeallous about the fact that Rocket dog had been chosen leader tha they were willing to do anything to ge rid of her.Mitch had grown tired of the three sisters fighting so secretly he ran of to find the rest of the Whiskers so the fighting between the three would stop once and for all.He searched at Starsy territory, but Mozart said the only thing they saw, or heard in three days was Kinkajou singing.

"Oh ah lah bah doopy do do plac plac racity rac!"She Sang loudly.Mitch quickly left to get away from the awfull sound.But he still couldn't find the Whiskers.Then he thought that they might be at there old territory in the south.But that was now Comando territory, and their leader was Hanibal.When he finally got to Comando territory he found the rest of the Whiskers.

"What are you doing here?"Asked Mitch."We've gotten tired of the Comandos pushing us around so I've decided to chase them of,"said Flower proudly."You can't do that, their to strong!"Said Mitch."Well after we've all had a drink we'll be able to defeat them,"said Flower.Flower went last at the water through so she could have the most water.Little did she know the Comando's were watching there every move.

Hanibal could not believe his eye.

"I can not believe my eye!"

He was most angry.

"I'm most angry."

That was Flower he was looking at.

"That's Flower I'm looking at, come my army we must get revenge for Ozzy, kill Flower."

Hanibal, and the rest of the Comandos quickly charged at the Whiskers.Flower, and her Splinter Group charged at the Comandos.Mitch was almost killed, but managed to esacpe.Soon Flower had to retreat so she called her group and lead them away.They decided to stay in their old burrow for the night, and head for home the next.Flower's plan to take over the Comandos had failed.
